my STORY
For nearly ten years, I've been building websites. Over that time, I've studied the underlying technologies, the principles of design, the mechanics of the web and interface usability. But that's not what's important.
In three and a half years, I completed a Computer Science degree with Great Distinction. I've learned dozens of languages, many of which aren't spoken by humans. I've done coursework focused on design- and web-technologies, and I know how to get a computer to make pretty pictures. But that's not what's important.
The past year, I've studied culture and religion. I've learned how to interact with and understand people of various backgrounds and from diverse heritages. I can read the philosophers of the ancient world and I can express my opinions clearly in writing or in speech. But that's not what's important.
What is important? I love what I do. I love helping people from various backgrounds do things online that they never thought was possible. I love making websites that people use; creating tools that work for people, rather than against them. I love taking technology that seems like 'gobbledegook' to most, and transforming it into something emminently helpful and useful.
And I want to do it with - and for - you.
